Our findings indicate that initiating guideline-concordant gout treatment with colchicine+XOI to target sU concentration results in significantly increased brachial artery flow-mediated vasodilation along with significant reductions in intercritical bloodstream hsCRP, ESR, IL-1β, and IL-6 concentrations, indicating that colchicine+XOI enhances vascular endothelial function and reduces baseline systemic inflammation in gout patients. The gene discussed is IL6; the disease is gout.
