Genes that were highly expressed in our UPS included WISP2, a regulator of Wnt signaling, which has been showed to play a role in the invasiveness of breast and colon cancer cells, and in epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition in pancreatic cancer (Davies, Watkins, Mansel, & Jiang, 2007; Dhar et al., 2007; Grunberg, Hammarstedt, Hedjazifar, & Smith, 2014). Here, CCN5 is linked to familial pancreatic carcinoma.
