In addition, the CD8+ T-cell subsets, including CD8+ T cells in general as well as Tc cells, MAIT cells, and Tex cells, were significantly correlated with the CD4+ T-cell subsets in normal pituitaries, and these correlations were attenuated in corticotroph adenomas, somatotroph adenomas, and NFPAs but amplified in gonadotroph and lactotroph PAs. This evidence concerns the gene CD8A and growth hormone-secreting pituitary adenoma.
