This revealed that that although tumor-resident basophils (identified by CD123, CCR3 and FcεRI gene expression) were not associated with progression-free or overall survival (Figure 7A), an activated basophil signature (CD123, CCR3, FcεRI, CD63, CD203c gene expression) was significantly associated with improved outcomes (Figure 7B; PFS: HR = 0.73, p = 0.0078; median survival: T3 = 20 months (n = 209), T1 = 15.1 months (n = 203); OS: HR = 0.76, p = 0.047; median survival: T3 = 45.8 months (n = 223), T1 = 36.8 months (n = 216)). This evidence concerns the gene CCR3 and neoplasm.
