A substantial decrease in the survival rate within 5 years had been observed in treated vs untreated patients with triple-negative breast cancer; in contrast, a low but steady decrease of survival has been observed in patients with HR-positive and ERBB2-negative breast cancer.27 Noticeably, the tumor size no longer had an independent role after endocrine therapy compared with nontreatment, consistent with the previous report in women who were treated with endocrine therapy alone in National Surgical Adjuvant Breast and Bowel Program trials.28 Here, ERBB2 is linked to neoplasm.
