While we could not find relevant examples of studies employing parent-of-origin tests, the result in the general test is of the same order of magnitude (i.e. 1 < X < 10 for standardized scores with a mean of 100 and a SD of 15 in some studies, or 0.5 SD < X < 1 SD in other studies) as observed in associations between CNTNAP2 variants and language traits in children with SLI [67], intelligence in a general population twin cohort [68], and handedness in individuals with dyslexia [69]. This evidence concerns the gene CNTNAP2 and dyslexia.
