One of the main factors contributing to the development of obesity is the consumption of a high-fat diet (HFD) [1,4], characterized by high leptin levels in humans [5], mice and zebrafish (Danio rerio) [6,7,8] and increase in tumor necrosis factor α (TNF-α) and interleukin 6 (IL-6) levels [9]. This evidence concerns the gene TNF and obesity due to melanocortin 4 receptor deficiency.
