SMARCA5 locates in the q31.1→q31.2 bands of chromosome 4 [57] and is regarded as a critical contributor to malignant tumors, such as gastric cancer [58], acute leukemia [59] and prostate cancer [60, 61], among others, where SMARCA5 is significantly upregulated and shown to promote cancer progression [62–64].
