AKT1 and cancer: Pathway analysis using ConsensusPathDB [41] shows that the 444 genes that have a high correlation (q value < 0.05) with IGF2BP3 mRNA expression were enriched in cancer-related gene sets such as EGFR1, Ras/Raf, sorafenib-related, PI3K-AKT, VEGF/VEGFR, and thyroid hormone synthesis signaling pathways (Additional file 1: Fig. S2d).
