Interestingly, t (2;7) involving THADA was identified in 2003 by karyotyping in thyroid cancer [31] and has been examined in numerous papers since then—however, all those studies focused exclusively on the downregulation of THADA, a gene whose expression is typically high but is reduced by ~ 30–50% upon truncation. This evidence concerns the gene THADA and thyroid gland carcinoma.
