The mean value of serum albumin was notably lower in fallers: 39.0 ± 4.0-g/L vs. 39.5 ± 4.0-g/L in non-fallers, p = 0.03, but the groups did not differ significantly in the percentages of patients at risk of malnutrition according to the MNA-SF score. This evidence concerns the gene ALB and malnutrition.
