Alterations in the Ca2+ signaling pathway were observed in nine cancer types and AGTR1 GRIN2A (Glutamate Ionotropic Receptor NMDA Type Subunit 2A), ITPKB (Inositol-Trisphosphate 3-Kinase B), and SLC8A3 (Solute Carrier Family 8 Member A3) were repressed by hypermethylation in six of them [8]. The gene discussed is ITPKB; the disease is cancer.
