Laboratory findings include leukocytosis, neutrophilia, and high C-reactive protein (CRP) level, but the patient tested negative for TB on all TB-associated tests, including T-SPOT TB test, sputum smear test, sputum DNA/RNA test for mycobacterium tuberculosis and nontuberculous mycobacteria, histopathological examination of endotracheal necrotic tissue, GeneXpert test, and TB rapid culture with a BALF sample. Here, CRP is linked to tuberculosis.
