In the GSE14520 cohort, univariate Cox indicated that higher C2 expression was also significantly associated with better OS of HCC patients (HR = 0.56, 95% CI: 0.36-0.87, p = 0.01, Figure 3(b)), but multivariate analysis showed that C2 expression was not independently associated with OS of HCC patients after adjusting for gender, age, cirrhosis, main tumor size, and TNM stage (HR = 0.73, 95% CI: 0.47-1.16, p = 0.18, Table 3). This evidence concerns the gene C2 and Cirrhosis.
