The molecules targeting the signaling related to EMT signaling are anticancer drug candidates, in which the trabedersen (AP12009) inhibiting TGF-β2 expression has been developed for pancreatic cancer treatment, SB431542 inhibiting TGF-β receptor I is used for breast cancer therapy, and LY2109761, another TGF-β receptor inhibitor has been developed for pancreatic cancer treatment (Melisi et al., 2008; Tanaka et al., 2010; Schlingensiepen et al., 2011; Zhang et al., 2016). Here, TGFB2 is linked to familial pancreatic carcinoma.
