This is consistent with a previous report showing that in a non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), ILT4 plays an important role in promoting tumor growth and metastases by the upregulation of VEGF-C expression [22, 40–42] which in turn induces the abnormal growth of peripheral lymphatic vessels and increases their permeability facilitating lymphatic metastasis. The gene discussed is LILRB2; the disease is non-small cell lung carcinoma.
