Arrhythmia liability is a leading cause of drug withdrawals, and the International Council for Harmonization of Technical Requirements for Pharmaceuticals for Human Use (ICH) guidelines recommend screening for inhibition of human ether‐a‐go‐go (hERG) gene product, a frequent arrhythmia driver, during the drug development process.20 This evidence concerns the gene KCNH2 and cardiac arrhythmia.
