SOD1 and myeloid sarcoma: As shown in Table 2, the higher level of SOD activity remained independently associated with a lower risk of MS after progressively adjusting for gender, age, and BMI (OR for 1SD increase of SOD = 0.719, 95% CI 0.572-0.903, P = 0.005, model 1), dietary intake of calories per kilogram body weight and fat as well as dietary antioxidants (OR for 1SD increase of SOD = 0.721, 95% CI 0.569-0.914, P = 0.007, model 2), and cellular aging and OS markers (OR for 1SD increase of SOD = 0.718, 95% CI 0.565-0.912, P = 0.007, model 3), suggesting the independent predictive role of SOD activity for MS.
