HFpEF was defined according to the 2016 European society of cardiology6 guidelines as an left ventricle ejection fraction ≥ 50%, symptomatic heart failure with New York heart association (NYHA) class 2 or greater, elevated brain natriuretic peptide (BNP) and relevant echocardiographic findings (left ventricle hypertrophy, left atrium enlargement, or diastolic filling anomaly).
