Lysyl oxidase-like 2 (LOXL2) plays a part in epithelial-mesenchymal transition by stabilizing the transcription factor SNAI1 and works as a tumour promoters in human melanoma cells by enhancing their invasive potential and several tumorigenic events including evasion of apoptosis, cell proliferation and has been found to be overexpressed in primary and metastatic melanoma and other human cancers, therefore it might have important role in vivo in the development of resistance [53]. Here, SNAI1 is linked to melanoma.
