The upregulation of C-X-C motif ligand 16 (CXCL16) in human breast cancer cells exposed to IR resulted in a systemic surge of C-C motif chemokine receptor 6 (CCR6), expressed in NK cells through CXCL16–CCR6 interaction, which was abrogated in the presence of an anti-CXCR6 Ab (120). Here, CXCL16 is linked to breast carcinoma.
