Considering the structure of the ISLR protein as a member of the Ig superfamily (Nagasawa et al., 1997) and the functional links between immune infiltration and gastric cancer (Kim et al., 2016; Liu et al., 2016; Pan et al., 2019; Xu et al., 2019), we first investigated the correlation between ISLR gene expression and macrophage, neutrophil, dendritic cell, B cell, T cell and other immune cell infiltration levels based on gene expression correlations and the TIMER, CIBERSORT, CIBERSORT-ABS, QUANTISEQ, MCPCOUNTER, XCELL, and EPIC algorithms. This evidence concerns the gene ISLR and gastric cancer.
