In this work, we evaluated the diagnostic capability of the P. malariae MSP1 recombinant proteins, together with the MSP119 of P. falciparum (PfMSP119) and of P. vivax (PvMSP119), for the detection of anti-MSP1 in the sera of NHPs from malaria endemic regions of Brazil, the Amazon and Atlantic forests, and from a non-endemic region, the Cerrado, in Central Brazil. This evidence concerns the gene ATAD1 and malaria.
