Of the 10 AL components evaluated, CRP (high vs. low HR: 1.50 95% CI 1.41, 1.59), BUN (high vs. low HR: 1.46 95% CI 1.35, 1.57), serum creatinine (high vs. low HR: 2.10, 95% CI 1.93, 2.28) and SBP (high vs. low HR: 1.34 95% CI 1.22, 1.47) were the AL component factors most consistently associated with increased risks of all-cause mortality in the total sample and among Blacks and Whites separately, while CRP (high vs. low HR: 1.30 (1.16, 1.46) was associated with increased risks for cancer mortality, as shown in Table 6.
