Further investigations showed [151], that adenovirus-mediated TIPE2 upregulate E-cadherin epithelial marker in AGS and HGC-27 in in vitro and in vivo model, leading to the conclusion, that TIPE2 not only inhibits gastric cancer cell migration, but also stating that invasion and metastasis in gastric cancer in probably via reversal of epithelial–mesenchymal transition, which may be crucial in further therapeutic approaches [151]. Here, TIPE2 is linked to gastric cancer.
