Our results also demonstrated that, for the first time, AN07 attenuated MG-induced apoptotic death and neurite damage in SH-SY5Y cells via the up-regulation of IGF-1R, GLP-1R, and BDNF, the promotion of antioxidant Parkinsonism proteins parkin, pink1, and DJ1, and the inhibition of the ROCK/LIMK pathway, demonstrating the novel neuroprotective mechanisms of AN07 against neuronal disorders related to AGE accumulation.
