HNF4A and Crohn disease: Using co-expression and functional annotation enrichment analyses across several tissues and cell types, Haberman and his colleagues reported that HNF4α-AS1 was significantly downregulated in patients with Crohn’s disease, where the expression of HNF4α-AS1 also showed association with an epithelial metabolic signature, indicating that HNF4α-AS1 might be a novel inflammatory signal or therapeutic target for Crohn’s disease [99].
