The reverse is also true that CD44 can regulate pERK in cancer cells (Bourguignon, Gilad, Rothman, & Peyrollier, 2005; Herishanu et al., 2011; Yu et al., 2015), suggesting that the pERK—CD44 pathway in PECs may be context‐ and cell‐ dependent, and even raises the possibility of differences in regulation between OC and JM glomeruli.
