Recent data showed that in patients undergoing radical resection of non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), the serum of patients treated with propofol had a lower concentration of tumour angiogenesis‐related factors, such as vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and transforming growth factor beta, than that in the sevoflurane group.27 This evidence concerns the gene VEGFA and non-small cell lung carcinoma.
