The kelch-like ECH-associated protein 1 (Keap1)-nuclear factor-erythroid 2-related factor 2 (Nrf2)-antioxidant response element (ARE) pathway is the most important endogenous antioxidant stress pathway [6]; so, in the present study, the relationship between Compound Centella and the molecular mechanism of the Keap1-Nrf2-ARE pathway will be deeply explored, to provide a more experimental basis in Compound Centella for the treatment of DKD. This evidence concerns the gene NFE2L2 and diabetic kidney disease.
