In this study, we demonstrated that overexpression of DYRK1A in NSCLC cells significantly increased Mcl-1 expression, whereas suppression of DYRK1A inhibited Mcl-1 expression, indicating that DYRK1A is an upstream activator of Mcl-1 in NSCLC cells, including adenocarcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma (Figure 1 and Supplementary Figure S1). Here, DYRK1A is linked to non-small cell lung carcinoma.
