Hypercalcemia, i.e., a calcium level ≥ 2.75 mmol/l, was observed in 11 patients; this group also demonstrated a significantly higher level of MIP-1α (3.57 pg/ml) than those with a normal calcium level (2.13 pg/ml; p = 0.023). The gene discussed is CCL3; the disease is hypercalcemia disease.
