In the present study, four polymorphisms of the VEGFA gene (rs3025039, rs1109324, rs1547651 and rs833052), the polymorphism located in the promoter of the VEGFR1 gene (−710 C>T), and the polymorphism in the bFGF gene (c.233C>T) were analyzed in order to determine whether the presence of allelic variants are associated with susceptibility to B-CLL and to patient evolution. This evidence concerns the gene FLT1 and B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia.
