This can result in inappropriate treatment, as patients with CIDP may be misdiagnosed with other polyneuropathies, such as anti-myelin associated glycoprotein (MAG) neuropathy or polyneuropathy of POEMS syndrome (polyneuropathy, organomegaly, endocrinopathy, M protein, and skin changes), which require different treatments than CIDP [17].
