TP53 and gastric cancer: Jiang et al. (2016) illustrated that miR-887-5p was overexpressed in the serum of patients with endometrial cancer and might be a potential biomarker for endometrial cancer. Jones et al. (2015) demonstrated that overexpression of miR-3189-3p up-regulated p53 and many p53 target genes, which could effectively induce apoptosis and inhibit cell proliferation in colorectal cancer (CRC). In glioblastoma and gastric cancer, overexpressed miR-3189 could markedly inhibit cell proliferation and migration (Jeansonne et al., 2015; Bian et al., 2018).
