The current results also showed that the gene expression related to linoleic acid (CYP2C, CYP2E1, and CYP3A4) and alpha-linolenic acid (FADS2) metabolism was changed in the NAFLD model group, whereas the expression of CYP2E1, CYP3A4, and FADS2 exhibited opposite trends following nuciferine treatment. This evidence concerns the gene CYP3A4 and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease.
