CRP and susceptibility to pneumonia measurement: In laboratory findings, lymphocyte counts were significantly decreased whereas neutrophil counts, the neutrophil to lymphocyte ratio (NLR), D-dimer, lactate dehydrogenase and C-reactive protein levels were all increased in severe pneumonia cases (p < 0.05), while there was no significant difference in white blood cell counts (p = 0.089) (Table 1).
