As there are no antibodies available for the detection of the mouse or human proforms of LC3A and LC3B, we used the RPF/mRNA data (an indicator of ribosome occupancy) for LC3A and LC3B in the HD and control striatal cells (38) as an indirect measurement of the levels of the uncleaved proforms of LC3A and LC3B. This evidence concerns the gene MAP1LC3B and Huntington disease.
