As the level of inflammation increases, the state of obesity and therefore percentage body fat also progresses; thus, we evaluated the relationship between the gene expression levels of IL6 and TNFα against the percentage body fat of chow (C)- and high-fat (HF)-fed mice in gWAT (Supplementary Figure S6A,B), iWAT (Supplementary Figure S6C,D), iBAT (Supplementary Figure S6E–F) and PAT (Supplementary Figure S5G–H). The gene discussed is TNF; the disease is obesity due to melanocortin 4 receptor deficiency.
