ZNF322A modulated the IRIS/PI3K/AKT and HSP27/MAPK pathways to perturb glucose uptake and UPR upon ZNF322A-slienced A549 lung cancer cells, and the cumulative evidence also suggest that suppression of the PI3K/AKT/mTOR pathway and induction of HSP27-regulated misfolded proteins triggers cytoprotective autophagy in cancer [44–47], hence, we further investigated whether autophagy was mediated by ZNF322A in lung cancer.
