This was corroborated with our earlier report that Neu2 overexpression guides upregulation of Fas, FasL and FADD, leading to activation of caspase8 and Bid cleavage, thus inducing extrinsic pathway-mediated apoptosis not only in pancreatic [18] but also in ovarian cancer cells (personal communication). This evidence concerns the gene FADD and ovarian carcinoma.
