Based on the analysis of available studies, risk factors for progressing to severe illness from COVID-19 include old adults, male gender, high BMI, comorbidities (DM, HTN, CHD, COPD), higher respiratory rate, fever, dyspnea, higher levels of white-cell counts, ALT, AST, Tbil, CRP, PCT, LDH, CK, D-D, and lower lymphocyte counts. Here, CRP is linked to hypertensive disorder.
