We identified alleles in 4 novel, to our knowledge, loci that were associated with the reproductive PCOS subtype at genome-wide significance (chromosome [chr]1 p36.21 PRDM2/KAZN, P = 2.23 × 10−10; chr2 q37.3 IQCA1, P = 2.76 × 10−9; chr4 q22.3 BMPR1B/UNC5C, P = 9.71 × 10−9; chr5 p14.2–p14.1 CDH10, P = 1.17 × 10−8) and one novel, to our knowledge, locus that was significantly associated with the metabolic subtype (chr2 q24.2–q24.3 KCNH7/FIGN, P = 1.03 × 10−8). The gene discussed is KAZN; the disease is polycystic ovary syndrome.
