Since STING also activate coagulation through another independent pathway (STING-ITPR1-calcium release-gasdermin D-pyroptosis) which can lead to TF deposition in various tissues, low-dose aspirin or dipyridamole could be added to other STING inhibitors to better prevent the thrombotic coagulopathy of COVID-19 patients in patients with biological signs of coagulation dysfunction. This evidence concerns the gene STING1 and COVID-19.
