Hepatic and plasma levels of triglyceride and cholesterol as well as glycerol, nonesterified fatty acids, IL-6, and TNF-α were potently increased during pregnancy in ethanol-fed E15.5 mice, whereas the adiponectin level, a predictive marker of type 2 diabetes (T2DM), was markedly decreased (Table S1). This evidence concerns the gene IL6 and type 2 diabetes mellitus.
