Biomarkers of systemic inflammation including c-reactive protein (CRP), lymphocyte-monocyte ratio (LMR), neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) and lymphocyte-platelet ratio (PLR) as indicators of the cellular-mediated inflammatory response, have been reported to be associated with survival in different subgroups of patients with lung cancer [8,9,10,11,12]. This evidence concerns the gene CRP and lung carcinoma.
