Another combination of transcription factors, Lmx1a, Ascl1, and Nurr1 (LAN) [175] or together with Foxa2, En1, and Pitx3 [176], have also demonstrated to have successfully induced the formation of mDA neurons from mouse and human fibroblasts, which possessed electrophysiological functions and dopamine release capability after integration into the brain of PD mouse in vivo [175,176].
