Inhibition of CDK12/cyclin K results in decreased expression of DDR genes, such as BRCA1 (breast and ovarian cancer type 1 susceptibility protein 1), ATR (ataxia telangiectasia and Rad3-related), FANCI (Fanconi anemia complementation groups - I) and FANCD2 (Fanconi anemia complementation groups - D2) [13], which are important for maintaining genome stability. Here, CDK12 is linked to Fanconi anemia.
