Sensitisation in infancy, measured by PRICK and/or IgE, was significantly associated with an increased risk of rhinitis (aOR, 4.60; 95% CI, 1.82‐11.63), but not with wheezing (aOR, 1.00; 95% CI, 0.41‐2.47) or hay fever (aOR 2.32; 95% CI, 0.89‐6.06). The gene discussed is IGHE; the disease is seasonal allergic rhinitis.
