AEBP1 and glioma: Interestingly, suppression of AEBP1 was associated with a significant decrease in the expression of NF-κB1/p105 (a precursor of NF-κB/p50), along with a decrease in the expression of MMP-2 and Bcl-2, downstream targets of NF-κB. Hence, AEBP1 may promote proliferation and progression of glioma cells via activation of NF-κB pathway and its downstream targets.
