There was a significant difference in the percentages of central memory CD3+CD161+ lymphocytes in the three groups (p = 0.001), with percentages of central memory CD3+CD161+ lymphocytes being lower in the infection group than in either the control group (p = 0.002) or the septic group (p = 0.012) (Figure 5B).
